The Cold Shoulder

Ladies, it's time to give the world the cold-shoulder!  We mean the fashion trend, not the unfriendly gesture of course.  A little tidbit behind the trend: It was first designed by international fashion designer, Donna Karan.  One season, she designed a gown with the cold-shoulder but was hesitant to show it on the runway. Instead she used it herself, but hid the gown underneath her jacket. During the after-party event she took off her jacket, revealing her cold-shoulder dress and everyone was vying over the new style.  A season later the cold-shoulder dress was born! It was quickly seen on the runway and on the likes of Hilary Clinton, Linda Evangelista, and Liza Minelli.

Donna Karan once said that a woman's shoulders are the last thing to go as she ages.  This means that any woman can sport the cold-shoulder look, need we say more?

Here are a few of our favorite cold-shoulder pieces in the shop.
